I remember collecting football league stickers along with all the other lads in my school when I was about 10 (1978?).

I can remember the competition was fierce to finish the set first, that year 4 of us got down to needing one player and yes we all needed the same player! (who says the manufacturers don't hold back cards/stickers!!! ). I'll never forget the player.......Bob Latchford who I beleive was playing for Everton. Eventually another lad got him in a pack and swapped it for about 150 cards! I lost out and had to wait a fair while before completing the album. Can't remember much else from that period of my life, strange how important collecting these cards becomes as a youngster.
